Vine Baptist Church is serious about our responsibility to world wide mission. We have a long tradition of supporting missionaries at home and abroad, and supporting church members on short term missionary assignments.
We are currently supporting missionary work in South America, Africa and the Far East.
As well as supporting our own, and our adopted missionaries, Vine Baptist Church promotes and supports other Home and Foreign missions throughout the year and highlights one or two each month through our Forward magazine and displays in the church.
Word Mission Policy
Biblical Basis
Recognising that the Great Commission is to ‘Go and make disciples of all nations’ (Matt. 28 v 19) and realising that all three Persons of the Godhead are involved in ‘Mission’ (Jn 3 v 16; Jn 20 v 21; Acts 1 v 8) we accept the responsibility as a Church to be similarly involved in the salvation of the lost and the discipling of believers locally, nationally and internationally, and to make World Mission an integral and central feature of the Church’s life.
We support - missionary work in South America Africa and the Far East though BMS, Latin Link, OMF, WBT, Release International & Leprosy Mission.
We have a friendship link with Sofia Baptist Church and also support the work of London City mission.
We keep in touch monthly with individual missionaries and are delighted when they are home and join us for “Tea & Chat” on a Sunday afternoon.
